Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women’s University is the first Women’s University in the State of Telangana. It came into existence on 22nd April 2022 through an act amendment passed in the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council of the State of Telangana. It was formed by upgrading the University College for Women, a constituent and autonomous college of Osmania University established in 1924.
