Message from the IPR Cell Coordinator

“In today’s knowledge-driven society, innovation and creativity form the foundation of academic excellence and societal progress. Intellectual Property Rights play a pivotal role in protecting these innovations and transforming ideas into impactful outcomes.”

The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell of Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women’s University is committed to nurturing a culture of innovation, originality, and ethical research practices among our students, faculty members, and researchers.

As a women’s university, VCIWU holds a unique responsibility in empowering women scholars to recognize the value of their intellectual contributions and to confidently protect and disseminate their ideas. The IPR Cell strives to create awareness about patents, copyrights, trademarks, and related rights, while providing guidance and support throughout the intellectual property lifecycle.

We aim to encourage innovation-led research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and responsible commercialization of knowledge in alignment with UGC regulations, the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), and the National IPR Policy of India. Through workshops, training programmes, expert interactions, and institutional support, the IPR Cell seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world application.

I invite students, faculty members, and researchers to actively engage with the IPR Cell and contribute towards building a vibrant ecosystem of innovation, entrepreneurship, and societal impact at VCIWU.
