NCC

The NCC of VCIWU was established with the vision of nurturing disciplined, confident, and service-oriented young women capable of contributing to the society and in nation building. Since its inception, it has steadily grown into a vibrant unit that blends academic learning with character-building activities. Over the years, it has built a strong foundation of cadet training, emphasizing physical fitness, leadership development, and civic responsibility. The National Cadet Corps has continually upheld its motto, “Unity and Discipline,” by ensuring that every cadet undergoes well-rounded and holistic development.

Throughout its journey, the NCC of VCIWU has achieved several notable accomplishments. Cadets have actively participated in state and national-level camps, including Annual Training Camps (ATC), National Integration Camps (NIC), Thal Sainik camp (TSC), Trekking camps and Republic Day Camps (RDC),. Many cadets have earned recognition for excellence in drill, cultural events, social service and adventure activities. Several students have been selected for prestigious parades and have received commendations for their dedication and discipline. The department also plays a significant role in organizing awareness drives, Swachh Bharat initiatives, fitness campaigns, and community outreach programs, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility.

Within the university, the NCC serves as a pillar of student empowerment and leadership. It complements academic education by offering cadets opportunities to develop emotional strength, teamwork, self-confidence, and decision-making skills. The department works closely with other university units to promote patriotism, discipline, and a spirit of service among students. By motivating young women to pursue careers in defense, civil services, and community leadership, the NCC of VCIWU continues to play a transformative role in shaping the future of its cadets and strengthening the university‟s identity.
