NSS

The NSS of VCIWU was established with the aim of fostering social responsibility, community engagement, and leadership qualities among young women. Since its formation, the department has worked tirelessly to promote the spirit of volunteerism by involving students in various service-oriented activities. Over the years, it has grown into a dynamic and socially active unit that focuses on holistic student development through outreach, awareness programmes, and community-based projects. Rooted in the NSS motto, “Not Me, But You,” the department encourages students to serve society with empathy, discipline, and integrity.

The NSS of VCIWU has earned recognition for its impactful initiatives and achievements. Volunteers have actively participated in swachh bharat programmes, health and hygiene awareness drives, blood donation camps, tree plantation activities, and environmental conservation campaigns. The university has also conducted special camps in adopted villages, where students engage in activities like literacy improvement, sanitation awareness, women empowerment sessions, and community development tasks. Many volunteers have received appreciation certificates at district and state level for their dedication and excellence in service.

Within the university, the NSS plays a crucial role in shaping socially responsible, confident, and community-oriented students. It works closely with academic departments to integrate social awareness into student life, promoting teamwork, leadership, and civic responsibility. By offering opportunities for experiential learning and hands-on service, the department enriches the educational experience and strengthens the university’s commitment to societal development. The NSS of VCIWU continues to inspire young women to become proactive citizens who contribute meaningfully to their communities and the nation.
